Doors, Cornices & Skirting

Posted by on June 17, 2012

This week saw the internal doors delivered and hung and the skirting boards started to be put into place. Now that the door between the garage and the main part of the house has been put into place I have been locked out. However, so far there has only been one night after work where I have not been able to find a door unlocked or a window slightly ajar.

This week also saw the automatic garage door installed. I took a photo of it rolled up and also pulled it down a little to take a photo. I did not want to pull it fully down just in case I were to damage it.

The termite people were back this week and installed the termite barrier around the slab.

The plasterers were back on Friday and almost completed the cornices and did some touch up work on other areas.

I spoke to the site supervisor on Thursday. He rang to give me and update and told me that the cabinet makers were booked in to start their work mid next week. He also told me that he had booked the plumber to come back and install the downpipes this week. However, they had not been able to get there as they were a few days behind after the floods. I have also booked in a meeting with him on site for next Thursday at lunchtime to go through the house with him.
