Today, I received a phone call from the salesman a GJ Gardner with an updated quote after the estimator had looked at our modifications we had done. The price is pretty much the same as the estimate the salesman was able to give me before the modifications had taken place.
I have a meeting with him tomorrow at 5pm to go over the electrical layout and I will have the opportunity then to add in extra power points and choose things like TV points and Phone locations.
I am currently seriously considering building with GJ Gardner as I like the layout of the house and I have been able to modify the few things I did not like. I also feel comfortable talking to the salesman at GJ Gardener as he has not made me feel pressured into doing anything and hasn’t tried to seal the deal with me by throwing in freebies or large discounts.
I had also been to Hotondo homes in Bairnsdale back when I was first looking at buying land and building. I really liked them as a builder and liked their inclusions. The only problem with them was because of all of the extra things such a steel frames they were a little outside my price range. I would have had to sacrifice some things such as a second bathroom and enclosed garage to be able to build with them.
